Adrian Elementary School Reviews

A lot of wonderful things going on here. Dedicated staff and strong leadership from principal, Dr Woodby.

What a great school. Wonderful teachers and great principal. High standards are set and expected.

Adrian is a wonderful school to send your child to. Each and every time that I have visited Adrian the classes are extremley quiet, the children are very engaged in learning. The principal Dr. Woodby is very supportive to the parents as well as teachers. He is very visible in the school and genuinley seems to care about the welfare of his students.

This school is a wonderful school to send your children. It has won several state and national awards to prove this. The principal is very involved, as well as the parents. They have an active PTA that does a great job and getting parents involved. Also, it has been rated excellent for the past several years!

Adrian School is making a good comeback from pretty dismal testing scores over the past five years. While there are terrific teachers at the school, the focus is on behavior, not academics. There are no athletic or intramural sports, and the lower grades, K - 1 are filled to capacity. With the consolidation of schools planned by the SE-L School Board for the 2007-2008 school year, there will be even more crowding at this already tiny school. Parent involvement is minimal, with the same group of parents participating at each activity or volunteering at the school. While there are many opportunities for children who struggle academically, there are few teaching adjustments made for students who excel academically. This may be a systemic problem instead of one practiced at Adrian School. Will not keep my child there after this year (First Grade).
