Rocky River High School Reviews

One iof Ohio's top public schools. I have had three kids there and all have come away with skills to go to college and beyond. Parent involvement along with a great staff makes Rocky River a great place to raise a family.

I am a former student and think it is a very stuck-up school. The kids and parents are into materialism. It is similiar to Bay Village, a lot of spoiled kids. I think you can get a good education, but it is not a place a want my kids attending.

Rocky River High School is a fantastic community high school. Rocky River High School reflects what Rocky River is all about. Rocky River is about bringing families together, regardless of income. Rocky River is one of the most economically diverse communities in Cleveland. It is impressive how Rocky River High School has managed to close the achievement gap between the wealthy and middle class. Rocky River offers many great programs from Athletics to Music Education. Rocky River has something for everyone. The expense of homes in Rocky River is well worth the education your children will experience at Rocky River High School.

Great teachers and an overall caring faculty contribute to making this school one of the best public schools I've seen!

it is a very good high school. the education is awesome. the people are excellent.

Both of my children have graduated from RRHS. One is just about to finish up college and my younger is about to finish up her sophomore year. RRHS is a great place to raise children. The schools have great teachers, administration, athletics, and clubs. My son played football and had lots of friends, and my daughter was on the swimming team, but somewhat just hung out with her group of four or five friends. I think some parents need to be more pro-active in their child's life. There are clicks like the jocks and the cheerleaders, but what school doesn't. I have been to the school plenty of times and have seen some kids just be out right rude to authority figures. I hate to say it parents: but that is on you.

as a former student i find that i was well prepared for college going through the rocky river public school system. i wasn't popular but i didn't have real problem with bullies as some may have suggested. There were enough extracurricular activities for me to find something fun to do after school. The teachers taught well and how much you put into the homework and class reflects how you will do in the classes. Overall i enjoyed high school and would send my children through rocky river high school. There are some things they could work on, but what school doesn't?

Rocky River High School is not a positive environment. There is also much racism and bullying in this school. My daughtor has a disability and many teachers refused to follow her IEP. They also refused to give her the extra help she needs. Instead they seemed to spend their time helping the students considered 'popular'. I have since switch my daughtor to a school with a more caring atmosphere.

The reason this school is rated high is that Rocky River parents make a lot of money, so of course the children do well. There is little discipline in the school and a huge drinking problem among students. Children who are not considered 'popular' are often bullied or ignoired and teachers don't do anything about it. While at the school one day for a meeting with my child's teacher, I heard students making racist remarks. The teacher who was supposed to be supervising did nothing. I have since moved my child to a private high school that has a more caring environment.

Rocky River is a terrible, snobish school if you are new to the area. There are many cliques and if you haven't been in Rocky River from grade school, you are not accepted.

I have had all of my children attend Rocky River City Schools, including Rocky River High School. All have done exceptionally well, earning excellent grades and taking honors classes. The teachers are all willing to help your children succeed and many extra curricular activities are offered. Parent-teacher conferences can be scheduled easily. The Rocky River City School District is a great place to send your children. I highly recommend this school!
