Kensington Intermediate Elementary School Reviews

The quality of academics is optimal! Year after year our school performs at an excellent level of acheivement. Many addtional programs are available to students and parents are very involved, including a very supportive PTA.

I think that because of the strong financial support that is given to this school system, more priority is given to test score results, than the daily comprehension of lesson plans across the board on all levels of education. I want my kids to learn to think outside the box, and not be afraid to challenge what they fully do not comprehend. Students are taught how to process information, school system has designed a program that produces positive test results so as to continue to maintain their financial support taxpayers. As for discipline in school, I think that these kids are tolerated by the school system K - 12 which empowers these kids to behave in whatever fashion they choose, (in short spoiled rich kids) who's parents do not consistently re-enforce the discipline guidelines that are in place by this school system. In this regard there must be a behavioral accountability for all students irregardless of parents social status within the Rocky River community. I personally find a total lack of disrespect for all levels of authority starting at home and generating out. Bottom line is not on cultivating young minds, but trying to tailor a process that moves these kids thru a educational system in the most efficient way so as not to defuse the flow of cash into that system.

I sent all of my children through this school. Everything from the teachers to the cirriculum was truly outstanding!
