Holy Name Elementary School Reviews

Holy name is a great school, i had 4 there at one time and they were very helpful, i have had 2 to graduate from holy name and doing very well. the prinicple is very caring and will go the extra mile for the students. this school also offers many things other private schools donot.

My Granddaughter has attended Holy Name Elementary for two years now, and I am very pleased with the education my Granddaughter is receiving. I especially like that I don't have to worry about the negative behaviors that plague so many schools. Ms. Linn, the Principle and her staff keep the schools atmosphere on of peace, learning and caring. I am pleased.

My experience with this school has not been a good one. My daughter is in the 2nd grade, her teacher is wonderful. However the school has a severe behavior problem. It does appear that the principal cares about the safety of the children. The children fight, spit on each other, steal, throw things and are never reprimanded outside of a writing assignment or sent home early, never suspended. The second grade teacher is the best and should leave the school. It's a dumping ground for all the bad children that the cleveland school system won't except. It is so bad that I had to pull my daughter out to ensure her safety. Someone is going to get hurt. I expected a higher standard from a Catholic school.

My daughter and nephew have both attended since the kindergarten, both are 4th graders now. This school has gotten worse since the 3rd grade. The kindergarten,1st & 2nd grade teachers are simply wonderful. Once they hit 3rd grade, they really treat the children like adults expecting them to relay messages excuse me they are still children. I have constantly told the teacher to call me or email me but she always says I told your child yeah ok you told my 9 yr old that she needed this and her mind is still 9yrs old lady ! One more thing memos are always handed out too late like a day or 2 before a major event.

This school is great! Both parents and teachers are concerned about the students. My daughter is in kindergarten and she is reading difficult books already. The kindergarten teacher is excellent! The cafeteria needs to be remodeled though. It looks like a dungeon.
