“We had nothing but problems with the administration and teachers at this school. There is a great deal of bullying and cliquish behavior among the students and the teachers and administration do very little to correct the situation. The guidance counselor is supposed to have programs with the kids about socialization, but she is so overworked with the problems that it is not consistent. Our issues with the dynamics of the class (bullying, physical stuff) were consistently ignored by the prinicipal. The teachers my kids had were rarely engaged with them. I went to one conference in November and the teacher had no idea what my liked, was doing, or who his friends were. We pulled them out after that and went to the community Jewish school and have been thrilled with the experience there. If you have doubts about Schechter, don't go!”
