St. Mary Magdalene / St. Justin Martyr School Reviews

I am beyond satisfied with this school. The Principal is firm but fair and has never been anything but kind whenever I have seen her or talked to her. I do find it a bit odd about the school lunches but I have to say, after it happens once, the kids make sure that they have their lunch or money every day (can you say responsibility). This school scores in the top 20 in the nation (at the middle school level) Yes, NATION! I would have to say if you are having many issues, maybe the issue lies somewhere else?

I have three children in this school. (fifth grade, fourth grade, second grade) Although I was unhappy about the merger, it has turned into something very positve for my family. From the teachers to the office staff, everyone has been very kind and helpful any time I had questions. I am happy to have a hot lunch program (we didn't have that at SMM). I was surprised at how it was handled if a student forgot their lunch or lunch money, however, when I asked around, I found that our public school handles the situation in a similar way. My children have forgotten their lunch before and were happy to go to the full table of extras to munch on. I also plan on sending my youngest to school at SMM-SJM. I would highly recommend this school (and have) to anyone!

As a parent with three children at SMM-SJM, I could not be more happy with the education that they are receiving. I feel that my children are challeged academically, given many opportunities to learn, and are socially and emotionally encouraged daily. They love going to school and that enthusiasm is there because of the people at SMM-SJM, including their friends, teachers, and suppport staff at the school. I pay good money for the principal to be firm, that is what will help make my children succcessful in the future. I feel that the quality of education that the school is providing is superb and I would reccommend the school to anyone. If school lunches are the biggest complaint, what a blessing! I am also pretty sure that no one has ever starved! SMM-SJM is a fantastic community! We love it!

I am more then satisfied with the school. I was part of the merger too. At first my heart sank at the mere thought of leaving St. Mary Magdalene. But 3 years into the merger and I can't be happier. The children that my kids have met are just wonderful. I can't imagine my kids not meeting them. The merger was really a great thing. I think my middle child loves the hot lunches the best. He buys every day. One thing for sure when you buy lunch everyday, you don't forget your lunch. Our principal is a blessing. She is warm, but firm. This too, is a what I pay for. They receive a fantastic education at SMM-SJM and I would tell everyone I know to send their children there. I have not one single complaint.
