I thought it was a good zoo

I went to the zoo a couple of years ago, and I thought it was a pretty good zoo. I thought that it wasn't too small. I really enjoyed its indoor rain forest and its elephant exhibit. The picnic area is also nice.

the rainforest @ the cleveland zoo far outranked the zoo itself. the zoo is kinda small, very limited animals-1 giraffe, 1 hippo, 3 elephans, 1 lion, etc. but hte rainforest was so cool-and such a learning experience. the "dinosaurs" exhibit (walking tour) was pretty cool too, but i hear (cause i didn't shell out hte extra $$) that the "virtual" dinosour "ride" was way overpriced-and only a few minutes long

Pros: small, good parking, rainforest was awesom

Cons: small, limited animals

Probably one of the best I have been to. They are 2 separate attractions in the same lot but worth it. (also not very expensive to get both). You can really get up close w/ some of the animals and it has some of the best viewing of them in both places....not many cages mostly window and outdoor type enclosures.

I love the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. It's huge and it always seems like they've got new animals arriving. The rainforest is the best part - it's a simulated rainforest with the same sweltering temperatures and humidity of an actual rainforest, with simulated rain showers over a river of fish. They have this really cool bobcat that swoops his paw into the water and pulls fish out, which is really neat to watch. I'd never seen an anteater before this, but you can watch them suck up ants. It's a very cool place.

The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and Rainforest are certainly a sight to see. This zoo rivals most other zoo's in the United States and features an enormous tropical rainforest. You can find dozens of species of wildlife year-round, from monkey and tigers in the summer to seals and polar bears in the winter. It's especially great for families to experience the animals up close. I plan to visit the zoo again this winter for their winter lights festival.
