Winking Lizard Tavern: Cleveland's reigning reptile

It's hard to pass through Cleveland without also passing by a local Winking Lizard Tavern. With 14 area locations, it's fairly certain you're close to one of these landmark eateries if you're in Cleveland.
The Winking Lizard Tavern is known for its big, meaty buffalo chicken wings; thick, juicy cheeseburgers; and sweet, smoky ribs. And who can eat all that delicious Winking Lizard food without an ice-cold brew?
You're in luck. The tavern features more than 50 beers from all over the world. Budweiser? Check. Samuel Adams? Check. Belgian, English and German lagers? Yup, they've got those, too. From light to dark, filtered to unfiltered, sweet- to full-bodied, Winking Lizard has a brew for you. The tavern even carries Cleveland's own Great Lakes Brewing Company varieties and home brews its own root beer.
The Cleveland cornerstone is also known for its live music and events. From world beer tours to football tournaments, Winking Lizard Tavern always has something going on. Of course, if you just want to grab dinner and drinks with friends, that's all right, too.
The tavern offers a full line of pizzas. Try the Greek chicken pizza, a perfect combination of seasoned grilled chicken breast, spinach, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts and Parmesan and feta cheeses. Mondays and Tuesdays feature half-priced pie.
Dinner menu options include items like fried grouper, New York strip steak and teriyaki chicken. A variety of sandwiches, wraps, salads and homemade soups are also available.
Be sure to save room for a slice of creamy raspberry cheesecake or an “Oreo Oblivion” sundae.
