Beachwood's Moxie: chic, styish and delicious

Published: May 26, 2009

Beachwood’s Moxie Restaurant, located centrally on Richmond Road, adds a dab of Cajun influence and mixes it into haute American cuisine to create a taste that is spicy, bold, distinct and delicious. This chic restaurant has become a hot spot for foodies of all kinds.

Moxie’s staff members aren’t just professionals; they are almost doctors of all things cuisine. With on-site pastry chefs, cheese experts and an award-winning head chef, Moxie has the staff covered from all four corners.  The Moxie dining experience is paralleled only by its sister restaurant Red: The Steakhouse, which is located next door.

The full-service bar is famous for stylish cocktails and imported wines; from Cabernet to Zinfandel. Try the buttery Stag’s Leap Napa Valley Chardonnay or the Pierre Ponelle Pinot Noir, with hints of oak and pepper.

To start your meal, you might enjoy the braised beef pierogies, served with shiitake mushrooms, caramelized onions and truffle crème fraiche, or the chilled jumbo Gulf shrimp with Moxie cocktail sauce.

For your main course, try the Rusticella Orecchiette – a pasta dish featuring broccolini, white beans, chilies, parmesan and green garlic broth with toasted baguette slices. If you’re feeling a bit more carnivorous, the roasted Maple Leaf duck breast with white hominy and duck confit pozole, green chilies, avocado and cilantro; or the long-bone rib steak with French bean and new potato salad, herbs, gorgonzola dolce and sundried tomato vinaigrette.

A large variety of fresh seafood, including Chilean sea bass and caramelized halibut, veal, pork and chicken dishes are also available.

Business attire is required, as are reservations.
