Paladar Latin Kitchen: diverse and creative
The colors, sounds and smells of Paladar Latin Kitchen in Woodmere, just 20 minutes from downtown Cleveland, will have you thinking that you’ve been magically transported to South America.
Rich burgundies, oranges and browns create an elaborate Brazilian/Moroccan theme that's indulgently beautiful. Soft lighting and music from the Central and South Americas means that your experience will be both pleasant and relaxed, leaving you able to place your undivided attention on the most important part of your trip to Paladar — the exquisite cuisine.
The menu at Paladar Latin Kitchen is diverse and creative, featuring an array of familiar favorites alongside many new and exotic dishes.
Delicious soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps and tortillas are the mainstay of the lunch menu. Try the slow-roasted pork Cubano sandwich, with rum-glazed shredded pork shoulder, bacon, black beans, coconut-mango rice and Pico de Gallo. If you’re looking to lunch on something a bit lighter, try the tropical hearts of palm salad, which features diced mango, avocado, tomatoes, black beans and a tropical vinaigrette with a bowl of smoked butternut squash soup.
The dinner menu features a wide variety of Latin comfort food, steaks and sea fare. House specialties include the Brazilian Lamb Stew, which features cilantro rice and hominy; Ropa Vieja, a spicy dish made with a shredded skirt steak, plantains, rice pilaf, black beans and jicama slaw; roasted Caribbean mahi-mahi with smoked plantains and fingerling potatoes; and passion fruit-glazed pork chops with spinach, black beans and oregano chimichurri.
A kids' menu featuring chicken fingers, quesadillas, and peanut butter and sweet plantains sandwiches is also available for guests under 12 years of age.
A full service bar featuring 35 varieties of imported rum, two dozen beers, more than 50 labels of imported wines and more than a dozen tequilas ensures you'll receive an authentic drink to accompany your meal.
Dress at Paladar is casual, and reservations are highly recommended on the weekends.
