Italian Village: Old World flavor in the west side
Santo’s Italian Village in Strongsville fusses over meals just like Grandma used to.
It’s not often that you come across a restaurant that puts such pride into each and every meal served. But at Italian Village, the staff put their hearts into all that they do. The result is fresh, simple, delicious Italian food in a comfortable, inviting atmosphere.
With enough pasta choices to feed a dozen people each something different, Italian Village is the ideal spot for those who love Italian cuisine. Homemade ravioli, meaty lasagna, linguine alfredo, eggplant parmesan, stuffed manicotti, rigatoni and cavatelli are all house specialties and are made from scratch.
Try the light flavor of the angel hair pomodoro, with fresh diced tomatoes, basil and garlic. Or sample the broccolini — linguine in a white cream sauce with chunks of tender steamed broccoli.
Entrees include chicken marsala, made with fresh mushrooms and onions, veal Francaise, with cutlets dipped in an egg batter and fried with butter and lemon; New York strip steak cooked to order; and the chicken piccata, served with lemon, butter and capers in a white wine sauce.
Seafood lovers can try the potato-crusted halibut with fresh vegetables, pan-fried walleye or the Feast — your choice of pasta with shrimp, baby clams and mussels in a red or white sauce.
Be sure to finish your meal with a slice of decadent cassata cake — a fluffy white cake with fresh strawberries, custard and whipped cream. It's an Italian favorite.
Italian Village offers a banquet room and catering services. Reservations are appreciated but not required. Dress is casual.
