Sugarcreek Restaurant: A bit of Amish cooking in the suburbs
Sheffield Village’s Sugarcreek Restaurant is a favorite among locals for good reasons: an extensive menu, down-home country cooking, delicious deli-style sandwiches and a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. It's enough to bring guests back time after time.
Located just a quarter mile off of the Route 254 exit on Interstate 90, Sugarcreek’s menu features breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner favorites for modest prices.
If you leave Sugarcreek Restaurant hungry, it’s nobody’s fault but your own. This hometown hot spot serves up huge portions at small prices.
Dinner choices include such items as strip steak, breaded pork chops and gravy, prime rib, southern fried chicken, crab cakes, fried fish and shrimp. All dinners come with bread service, vegetable or stuffing, potato choice, cup of homemade soup and a choice of salad, applesauce, cottage cheese or coleslaw.
The menu’s sandwich page features classic favorites like corned beef reubens, Philly steak and cheese, barbecued chicken, roast beef with au jus dip, B.L.T. and grilled cheese. A variety of grilled paninis and open-faced sandwiches (the roast turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy is a must!) also make appearances on the menu.
If you stop in for breakfast, a huge variety of omelets, Belgian waffles, flavored pancakes and skillet combos are available.
A cooler showcasing Sugarcreek’s famous homemade pies and cakes will leave you second-guessing your belt notch choice.
And don’t forget to toss a penny into the beautiful wishing fountain inside the restaurant before you leave (unless you were planning on wishing for a delicious, hearty meal — in which case your wish will have already come true!)
