Sullivan's Irish Pub and Restaurant in Lakewood
For a traditional Irish pub that offers more than just the usual Irish ales, try Sullivan's. Of course, they've got an impressive collection of imported Irish beers and traditional Irish cuisine, but there's more. At Sullivan's, you're like family.
With servers as friendly as they are helpful, deciding what to order isn't difficult. Sullivan's has traditional American bar-and-grill eats such as chicken and cheese quesadillas, fried zucchini sticks, hot wings and barbecued chicken sandwiches.
But it's the authentic Irish fare that really sets Sullivan's apart from other Irish pubs.
Sure, they've got corned beef -- lots of it, in fact. They've also got a traditional Irish Monte Cristo, a ham, turkey and cheddar sandwich that's deep fried in crispy tempura batter and served with powdered sugar and rasperry preserves for dipping, and Irish Boxties -- freshly prepared potato cakes served with sour cream.
Sullivan's carries its Irish theme through to the dining room: Dark wood molding and low lighting make for a traditional Irish-pub feel. The pub often hosts live Irish music, drawing patrons from all over. A cover charge may apply for live music.
Dress is casual and reservations are not required, but are accepted, especially for large parties. The prices are modest, with most entrees ranging from $9 to $18.
Sullivan's is open Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to midnight; Friday and Saturday, 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The kitchen stops serving one hour before closing.
