Trattoria on the Hill Roman Gardens: real Italian, really good
Located in the heart of Cleveland’s famous "Little Italy," Trattoria on the Hill Restaurant features dozens of authentic Italian dishes from steamed clams to delicious antipasto and classic spaghetti. If you love Italian food and good wine, then Trattoria on the Hill is the place for you.
With its excellent service, this small restaurants is a great place for an intimate dinner date, lunch with coworkers or a laid-back supper with the family. Diners can enjoy some of Trattoria's delectable tomato and basil sauce over their favorite pasta — and take a jar of the sauce home with them.
To start your meal off, try the fresh mussels with garlic butter and tomato basil or the breaded calamari — a true delight. For your entrée, try Trattoria’s famous homemade ravioli, stuffed with your choice of meat or cheese ($10.95); veal marsala with mushrooms and a savory brown glaze ($15.75), or the shrimp and gnocchi Trattoria ($15.25) — with tasty potato dumplings, juicy shrimp and tomato basil sauce.
A variety of delicious Italian pizzas are also available: Try the No. 1, with sautéed chicken, artichokes and Romano cheese, or the No. 2, with spinach, prosciutto, ham, olives, feta and mozzarella. Large pizzas range in price from $8.50 for a plain to $14.50 for a five-topping deluxe.
Don’t forget to leave room for dessert, as well — which might be a real task considering the extensive dinner menu and generous helpings. Tiramisu, authentic cannoli and cassata cake, with rich vanilla custard and fresh strawberries, are available.
Reservations are helpful on weekends and for larger parties. Dress is casual.
