Otani Restaurant: sure to be a great time
Published: Apr 2, 2009
At Otani Japanese Restaurant in Cleveland, you can enjoy a meal the traditional Japanese way (on the floor, sitting on tatami seats), join friends at a live hibachi where your meal is masterfully prepared by Japanese chefs, or simply take advantage of the dining room, with good old-fashioned seats, tables and food prepared in the kitchen.
It won't matter; you're sure to have an excellent experience.
The skillfully prepared cuisine at Otani includes popular items such as teriyaki, sesame and ginger chicken, filet mignon, New York strip steaks, scallops and shrimp. Each item is grilled to perfection and served piping hot and delicious — including sides of rice and salad.
Otani also offers a great variety of sushi. Favorite varieties include the volcano roll (which features shrimp, crab, cucumber, avocado and a spicy sauce) and the dynamite (filled with tuna, Hamachi, salmon and crushed almonds.)
A kids' menu featuring items like chicken fingers, shrimp, burgers, and smaller portions of chicken sesame or steak Yakiniku is available for the little ones.
Be sure to try a glass of plum wine or raspberry sake, karate punch, or a strawberry daiquiri with your meal. And don’t forget to leave room for dessert. With items like Oreo tempura (that’s battered, fried Oreo cookies with ice cream), you’ll be glad you did.
Dress is casual and reservations are appreciated for larger groups.
