One of Cleveland’s best places to enjoy gourmet Mediterranean cuisine is Sans Souci Restaurant, located in the heart of downtown inside the famous Cleveland Renaissance Hotel. From fresh seafood to perfectly prepared meats and poultry, Sans Souci puts a Mediterranean twist on all of its fantastic dishes.

The restaurant features exquisite royal architecture complete with stone pillars and imported Italian foliage. Beautiful painted murals depict the Northern European countryside against the crisp white table linens.

Sans Souci’s menu features an array of delicious dishes. For starters, try the Beef Carpaccio made with lemon, capers, plump grape tomatoes and olive oil, or the lobster tasting appetizer which features truffled lobster ravioli, lobster and boursin bite with tomato butter, lobster flatbread with fresh salsa and manchego and wild mushroom and lobster Vol-au-Vont.

Sans Souci’s main courses are fresh and delicious. Head chef Anna Kim recommends the Veal Osso Bucco, which features a light saffron risotto, spinach and a jus reduction, and the Lemon Sole, which features Moroccan spices, apricot pistachio cous cous, and an arugula, spinach and orange coulis salad.

The house specialties include a delicate angel hair pasta with lobster cream sauce and fresh basil, and the famous Sans Souci bouillabaisse with shrimp, clams, mussels, lobster, scallops and rouille croutons.

The wine selection is vast and consists of mainly imported varieties; Italian Pinot Grigio, German Reisling, Spanish Rioja and French Beaunne, to name a few. The house also serves a delicious sangria made with Rioja wine, brandy and fresh fruit.

Business attire is required at Sans Souci, as are reservations. A private party room is available for small gatherings.
