87 West Wine Bar offers high tech, high taste
Published: Feb 24, 2009
If you’re looking for a relaxed atmosphere, hundreds of local and imported wines, tantalizing gourmet food and friendly conversation, look no further than Crocker Park’s 87 West Wine Bar II.
Conveniently located in the heart of Westlake, 87 West is easily accessible by both I90 and I480. Just 15 minutes from downtown Cleveland, it is an ideal spot for residents of both the west and east sides.
87 West is home to Ohio’s first enomatic wine-dispensing system, an automated carousel that uses modern technology to pour wine by the glass from any bottle, process the payment and record inventory and accounting information via computer transmitters and receivers. The system is as fun to use as it is fascinating.
From sweet zinfandels to rich, robust cabernets, 87 West has a wine to suit the tastes of all who enter. But 87 West’s wine isn’t the only thing this nifty hot spot is boasting. A gourmet menu offers a variety of light fare that is far from ordinary.
The chefs at 87 West put dramatic spins on traditional American bar food. From pizza to nachos to quesadillas, 87 West serves up a simple, delicious, fresh menu that will really make your taste buds tingle.
With mouth-watering items such as Maine lobster nachos, a pulled pork and smoky gouda quesadilla, chorizo and roasted red pepper flatbread pizza and a spinach and blue crab bread bowl, the food at 87 West can be summed up in two words — delectable and satisfying.
The presentation is beautiful and the smell of the sourdough-encrusted brie tart is simply intoxicating. Light and distinct, the fare accompanies the wine perfectly. Try accompanying the chocolate fondue with your choice of a dry cabernet sauvignon and you’ll surely find yourself in taste heaven.
Reservations are not required. Dress is business casual.
