Jaipur Junction is small in size, huge in Indian flavor

Oct 12, 2009

Jaipur Junction, located in Parma, is a great place for a refreshing change of pace from the usual Chinese, pizza or burgers take-out joints. With Indian food that is as tasty and authentic as you'd find in any fine-dining establishment, Jaipur Junction's menu options are delicious, bountiful and delightfully easy on the pocket.

This west-side eatery may be quaint, but the flavors that come out of its kitchen certainly are not. With dozens of Indian favorites served up in the small dining area or boxed for take-out, there is no shortage of options when it comes to Jaipur Junction.

To rev up your taste buds, try the crispy Samosa-- fried triangle pastries stuffed with a spicy potato and pea stuffing, or the picnic balls-- seasoned potatoes rolled in fresh coconut, cashews and curry leaves. The classic Indian tomato soup with fresh ginger and coconut milk is also an excellent choice.

The Kathi Kabob Roll, with fresh chicken breast and fresh peppers is wrapped in warm Naan and makes a delightful dinner option. Lamb curry with fresh tomatoes and onion; Malabar shrimp with tamarind and coconut sauce; Dal Mukhani with lentils, garlic and ginger; and Alu Gabi ragout with tomatoes, cauliflower, potatoes, ginger and garlic are also great choices.

Dessert options like Galub Jamun-- tiny balls of cake in a sweet syrup-- and Ras Malai with sweet homemade cheese in a cream sauce are the perfect ending to a perfect meal.

A variety of Chai teas, coffees and specialty drinks (non-alcoholic) are also available.
