Hyde Park Steakhouse: fine, aged steaks and more

Published: Feb 18, 2009

Hyde Park Steakhouse has been serving up fine, aged steaks and chops, as well as an upscale dining experience in the Cleveland area since 1988. With a variety of sensational cuts of beef including prime rib, ribeye and filet mignon, many consider Hyde Park  the place to go for a juicy, delectable steak dinner.

The Zagat Guide rated Hyde Park as one of America’s best steakhouses, but Hyde Park’s menu isn’t limited to steak. Fresh fish, poultry, lobster, lamb and pork also make appearances on the restaurant’s impressive menu.

Appetizers such as oysters in the half shell, caviar, pan-seared sashimi tuna with wasabi oil and sriracha sauce and Maine lobster cocktail with basil aioli will tantalize the taste buds before your entrée arrives.

For a twist on a steak favorite, try the filet cabernet, which is served with garlic, cracked pepper, roasted shallots and a creamy cabernet butter. Sides of gruyere gratin potatoes and sautéed wild mushrooms will really complete the meal. Hyde Park also features a fully stocked bar and an extensive wine list featuring over 35 labels.

Hyde Park’s downtown location is within walking distance of Public Square, Tower City Center, Progressive Field, Quicken Loans Arena, the Ritz Carlton and Renaissance hotels. The Van Sweringen Arcade, a luxurious art-deco style reception area for groups of up to 350, is also located at the downtown location. Hyde Park’s second Cleveland area restaurant is located in the Crocker Park complex in Westlake.

Reservations are required on weekends and for large parties. Dress is business casual. There is valet parking available during the dinner hour on a daily basis.
