Bar Louie is Legacy Village's swank, stylish hot spot
Sep 24, 2009
At Bar Louie in Lyndhurst's Legacy Village, the perfect mixture of contemporary class and laid-back atmosphere await you. The perfect lunch spot, dinner date destination or just a place to unwind with a tall brew or dirty martini on the weekends, Bar Louie is as versatile as it is stylish and delicious.
This popular chain restaurant has three locations in Ohio, but the Lyndhurst location is the only one in the Cleveland area. From the overstuffed sandwiches to the artfully-arranged appetizers to the captivating cocktails, Bar Louie is the place to be on Cleveland's east side.
The sheer volume of the Bar Louie menu is astounding. It's likely that you may find the menu to be a bit daunting upon first glance, so allow yourself ample time to read it over. (Have the folks at Bar Louie considered breaking it up into chapters?)
The sandwiches-- each and every one of them-- are massive, delicious amalgamations of high-quality, flavorful ingredients that never fail to impress. Many are classics while some are in-house creations that are unlike anything at other area establishments.
If you're craving classic, the Blue Moon-battered fish, California chicken club with bacon, avocado and pepper jack cheese, or southern BBQ pulled pork with cheddar and fried onions are great ways to go.
On the other hand, if you're in the mood to try something out of the ordinary, try if you will the Cuban flatbread with ham, pork and Swiss; Louie Dagwood with turkey, ham, salami, pepperoni and cheddar on multi-grain bread; blackened shrimp Po'Boy with chipotle mayo; smoked tuna salad with avocado and Swiss; or the Carolina crabcakes with lemon aioli.
If sandwiches aren't tickling your fancy, try some of Bar Louie's famous small plates. Each is as delicious as it is unique. From the tempura shrimp with buffalo, Szechwan and Thai-chili lime sauce to the mini-Kobe hot dogs with spicy ketchup, honey mustard and queso and the seared rare-ahi tuna with soybean salad, your taste buds will thank you endlessly.
Of course, a fully stocked bar with dozens of imported and domestic beers, wines and fabulous cocktails is also on hand. Be sure to try a Bar Louie cosmo-- you won't be disappointed.
Dress is casual and reservations are not required unless you're bringing a large party.
