Bistro on Lincoln Park is classic, simple, delicious
Sep 14, 2009
The Bistro at Lincoln Park is one of Cleveland's most versatile eateries, featuring fine Mediterranean cuisine with Spanish, French and Italian influences. The Bistro is a fine example of culinary fusion if there ever was one-- and it's certain that they have the art down pat. From the intimate, crisp dining room to the elegant-yet-simple entrees, The Bistro at Lincoln Park is the perfect spot for lunch or dinner with loved ones or coworkers.
Executive chef Pete Joyce heads up The Bistro at Lincoln Park's impressive kitchen. Joyce graduated from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. His past endeavors include positions at the restaurant inside the JP Chase Morgan world headquarters on Wall Street and Firetown Restaurant in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Locally, he is known for his past work at Pier W, Salmon Dave's and Blue Point Grille.
To start your meal, try The Bistro's famous goat cheese tart, which features chevre cheese from the Lake Erie Creamery, roasted shallots and a bold tapenade. Other excellent appetizer choices include a duck empanada with Ohio corn salsa, boneless duck breast confit and spicy chimichurri sauce, and the Hudson Valley foie gras with ricotta croquette and a red wine reduction.
For your meal, the veal roulade with Chanterelle mushroom risotto and day boat bay scallops with heirloom tomato beurre blanc make ideal choices. Other popular items include a pesto crusted halibut filet, Ohio pork milanese with lemon caper vinaigrette and potato gnocchi with assorted veggies and freshly grated parmesan cheese.
The Bistro at Lincoln Park offers more than two dozen imported wines which are available either by the glass or bottle. If you aren't quite sure with which wine to pair your meal, ask your server-- they're knowledgeable and ready to recommend a perfect wine that will accentuate the flavor of your meal.
Reservations at The Bistro are appreciated and helpful. Business dress is required.
