Three Birds Lakewood: fine food, great friends and exceptional service
Sep 8, 2009
Winner of Cleveland Magazine's Silver Spoon Award just a few years ago is Lakewood's Three Birds Restaurant-- the quintessential American bistro that fosters good times with great friends, fine food and robust wines. The restaurant dining area is crisp and classic yet warm and inviting-- the perfect place to sit down with loved ones on the weekend to enjoy the company and the delicious flavors that show up in each and every dish.
Three Birds is a fine dining establishment that doesn't leave out intimate, courteous and professional service from the delightful wait staff. At Three Birds, as much attention and detail goes into the care of the guests as it does into the preparation menu items themselves.
The menu changes with the season, and while I'm excited to see what the autumn menu has to offer, it'll be bittersweet because I will be a bit disheartened to see the summer menu go. With items like the English cucumber and watermelon salad with feta, mint and sherry vinaigrette and macadamia-crusted snapper with julienne citrus squash and zucchini, it's hard to let go of something that was all kinds of perfect.
Other summer menu favorites include the roasted duck breast with fois gras, mascarpone orange polenta, squash, zucchini and peach compote with warm plum sauce; pan seared sea scallops with a bacon and tomato avocado salad; grilled beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes, caramelized onions and a poblano cream sauce; and the fire-roasted wild salmon with orange and ginger glaze and citrus sesame shiitake salad.
For dessert, be sure to try Three Bird's famous s'mores: a hot chocolate fudge cake with homemade marshmallows and graham cookies, or the classic vanilla bean crème brulee with fresh fruit.
Reservations are always suggested, especially on busy weekends or when bringing a large party. Dress is business casual.
