Hard Rock Cafe: Because Cleveland is ready to rock
Aug 3, 2009
What better place for a Hard Rock Cafe than Cleveland, Ohio, the home of rock-and-roll? The huge neon guitar outside of this popular eatery proves more than just its existence-- it proves the very reason why Cleveland was chosen as home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum: Cleveland is a city that was born to rock.
While Hard Rock Cafe has locations all over the world, we here in Cleveland like to boast ours as being the most suitably-placed. It's not just this famous restaurant's juicy burgers, fat steaks and crispy, crunchy, gooey, yummy sandwiches that make it perfect, but rather the décor that adorns its walls that proves that this genre of music really was born right here in this amazing city.
Of course, the food isn't anything to sneeze at, either.
For starters, try the hickory smoked colossal wings, which are hardwood smoked for distinct flavoring and then grilled to perfection, Tupelo chicken tenders with heavy metal or classic rock sauce, or the Hard Rock nachos with Jack cheese, pinto beans, sour cream and onions as well as Hard Rock's famous grilled salsa.
For your entree, consider 12 ounce NY strip steak with garlic-merlot butter and white cheddar mashed potatoes; Twisted mac, chicken and cheese with garlic, roasted red peppers and Romano-parsley breadcrumbs; or the hickory smoked barbecued ribs in sweet BBQ sauce served with fresh fries, slaw and ranch beans.
A large variety of burgers and sandwiches are also available. Try the S.O.B burger with chipotle pepper puree and guacamole, or the hickory smoked pulled pork sandwich in either vinegar-base or sweet BBQ with marinated slaw.
Desserts are decadent and rich and include classic favorites like hot apple cobbler and fudge brownie sundaes.
Dress at Hard Rock is casual, and reservations are helpful for parties of five or more, especially on busy weekends.
