Cleveland Ingenuity Festival showcases art in many forms

Published: Jun 14, 2009

Each year, more than 35,000 people flock to Cleveland’s Ingenuity Festival — a showcase of art and technology in all its forms. From paintings to sculptures, music to poetry, the Cleveland Ingenuity Festival has something for everyone.

From July 10-12, the streets of the Theater District, as well as several local buildings, will become home to the weekend event. More than 200 exhibits  will line the streets and alleys of the Theater District. A variety of games and informational booths will  provide lots of laughs and even a little bit of learning.

The festival will spotlight artists from across the globe and some of Cleveland’s best visual artists. Technology films by NASA and other major area institutions will be featured, and robots from the Cleveland Clinic will display their working abilities — set to music, of course.

The festival also puts on a lively “street scene:”  a visually stimulating walk-through that showcases music genres from bluegrass to rock and roll to jazz. Kids can make their own CDs courtesy of First Energy Electric.
