Traffic Nightclub a hotspot for dance fanatics
Nestled not-so-quietly amongst the backdrop of city lights, neon signs and thumping bass, Traffic Nightclub on West 6th in downtown Cleveland is a haven for the trendy 20s and 30s crowd.
The two-story club offers up abundant square footage, with two raised dance floors, a posh VIP lounge, three full-service bars and a laid-back patio. Traffic’s DJs are often from local radio stations that broadcast simultaneously during "club hits" shows. Top-40 and dance/techno tunes are the genres of choice at Traffic. Strobe and multicolored club lights add to this venue’s high-energy vibe.
Traffic Nightclub is the hotspot for bachelor and bachelorette parties. The swanky VIP lounge is perfect for birthday celebrations, as well — plush sofas, a fireplace and mini-bar complete with a bottle of complimentary champagne when you book a party in advance. Traffic’s martini lounge on the first floor boasts dozens of varieties of these potent cocktails. Apple, grape, strawberry, citrus and vanilla are just some of the options. Of course, you can order straight-up as well — pimento-stuffed olives and all.
A night out at Traffic doesn't require a thousand-dollar couture, but a strict dress code is enforced. No torn jeans, T-shirts or hats are allowed. Women are encouraged to wear "as little as possible while remaining classy," per the club management, and men are asked to wear collared shirts or jackets. VIP room dress standards are even more stringent.
