The Children's Museum of Cleveland: Where learning and fun meet
Published: Jan 19, 2009
Kids seem to have an endless supply of energy. Why not put it to use at The Children's Museum of Cleveland? Your little ones will get a chance to run wild and explore countless activities while learning about everything from space exploration to life on the farm.
The museum's interactive activities will keep kids entertained for hours. They can discover outer space and how it's being explored, build a replica rocket or create their own spaceship designs. While splashing around in the waterways exhibit, they'll find out about cargo boats and their role in delivering consumer goods.
Road-safety rules are stressed in the center's own version of safety town, which is complete with supermarkets, schools and banks.
Guests can even see what it is like to live on a farm at the Big Red Barn exhibit, complete with pretend farm animals and farm equipment. . All exhibits are kid-safe, and the building is secure.
The museum has party rooms available to rent for birthdays or other family functions. No food service is available on site, but guests planning parties can bring in food. Rental rooms are equipped with refrigerators and microwave ovens.
It's $7 to get in for kids 1-12, $6 for anyone older. The Individual Plus Membership -- unlimited visits for one adult and one child family member living in the same household -- is $50. For $70, the Family Membership provides unlimited visits for four famly members living in the same household.
Additional family members can be added to the plans for $10 apiece. All memberships include additional benefits, such as gift-shop discounts and complimentary adult guest passes.
