Memphis Kiddie Park: affordable fun for the kids and family
Published: Mar 17, 2009
For nearly 60 years, Memphis Kiddie Park in Brooklyn has been providing local families with fun and memories that will surely last a lifetime. Many park-goers have visited the park as children themselves, only to bring their little ones back to enjoy the same rides that they enjoyed when they were tots.
With a dozen amusement park rides just for the kids, an arcade, fair-food concessions and a miniature golf course, the park is an excellent place to bring the family for good old-fashioned fun at affordable prices.
Visitors don’t have to worry about long lines or confusing parking lots, as even on busy days the lines move quickly and parking is abundant and free. The miniature golf course is available for an extra fee of $4.75 for adults. Kids golf for free with a paying adult.
Most of the rides at Memphis Kiddie Park, with the exception of the roller coaster, train and merry-go-round, are limited to riders with a height of 50 inches or less (that’s 4 feet 2 inches for those who are counting). Typically, this means the riders are aged 2-6.
The roller coaster, train ride and merry-go-round welcome passengers of all heights, so parents and other adult family members can ride along with the kids.
The park is open from Memorial Day weekend to the end of September annually. Don't forget to bring your camera — the smiles on your child’s face will truly be something you’ll want to remember forever.
