Tower City Center lures shoppers, movie lovers and foodies alike
Published: Jan 30, 2009
If you’re looking for a place to shop till you drop, look no further than Cleveland’s Tower City Center. Home to more than 100 specialty shops and stores, hotels, full service and fast food restaurants, banks, salon and spa, movie theater and concert venues, Tower City Center is Cleveland’s one-stop shop for both necessities and entertainment.
Located on the scenic Public Square in downtown Cleveland, the 367,000 square feet Tower City resides on the bottom three floors of the city’s famous Terminal Tower. The 52-story skyscraper was one of the tallest in the country from the time it was completed in 1930 until 1964. The base level is a central train station for Cleveland’s Rapid Transit -- the public transportation railway for the city.
Located on three floors, the central concourse features an array of artistic fountains and dramatic ceilings. Shoppers occasionally can enjoy live theater, shows and concerts inside the main concourse, as well.
Fine-dining establishments like Morton’s Steakhouse, Muse, Tower 230 and The Hard Rock Café are all on the Tower City campus. An 11-screen movie theater, outdoor concert venue (theTime Warner Cable Amphitheater), the Ritz-Carlton and Renaissance Hotels and a full service salon and spa are also located on site.
Progressive Field and Quicken Loans Arena, homes of the Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers (respectively) are all within walking distance of this versatile venue. The hours of eat-in restaurants may vary from mall hours.
