Malley's Chocolates: a fantasy for chocolate lovers

Of all of the rich, decadent desserts that one can think of, smooth, pure, sweet chocolate is the undisputable favorite among Americans. Simple and classic, chocolate is a food that brings momentary euphoria while still on the lips. And where is the best place in Cleveland to get a bite -- or a box -- of the sweet treat? A Cleveland icon since 1935, Malley’s provides hungry consumers with thousands of varieties of chocolate confections each year. From bunnies at Easter to tool sets for Fathers Day, the company can make nearly anything out of solid chocolate.

The factory features 60,000 square feet of chocolate-making equipment that produces tens of millions of chocolate pieces each year. Visitors can see how Malley’s makes its famous creations with an official tour of the facility. Watch creamy milk chocolate drip its way onto plump strawberries, crunchy pretzels and salty nuts before it is packaged and shipped away to hungry customers.

Malley’s is also famous for its ice cream, which is also made on site. Visitors who tour the Malley’s factory can watch as the key ingredients -- milk, cream and sugar -- come together to make the frozen favorite.

All tour-takers are treated to a sample of Malley’s famous chocolate before taste buds and eyes alike are tempted in the chocolate shop. That's where they are able to purchase as much Malley’s chocolate as their hearts (and tummies) desire.
